If you have children and a garden, you are likely to have a playhouse for them. If that’s the case, you may have thought about glazing the windows. This is a practical decision as lots of kids keep toys in their playhouse, and if it isn’t sealed animals can get in, as can the weather.
Naturally, because it’s a playhouse, you’ll be reluctant to fit real glass windows and that’s where Cut My Plastic come in. We cut any acrylic to any size and deliver anywhere in the country. Acrylic playhouse glazing is incredibly easy to fit as it is both lightweight and flexible. Because it is 17 times better at resisting impact than normal glass acrylic sheet is much safer, add to this the fact that if it does break, it won’t shatter and you can rest assured that no matter how rough the play gets, you children won’t be harmed by breaking glass.
As well as being durable and light, it is weatherproof and UV resistant, meaning that you can easily keep outside toys and play equipment in the playhouse without having to worry about the elements getting in or animals setting up home.
Whether you’re building your own playhouse and require windows to fit pre-made frames or you’re fitting plastic window panes to a playhouse that your bought, we can provide acrylic (Perspex® alternative) cut to your precise dimensions, making the windows simple and safe to fit. Off the shelf playhouses are unlikely to have plastic window panes, or the necessary routing needed to fit glazing into the windows. Fortunately, if you are fitting plastic windows, they can be easily attached with solvent based adhesives. Just remember to allow for a little extra material all round when ordering so that the windows can be securely glued in place.
As well as being practical, fitting plastic glazing into your playhouse windows extends its use too. Kids will be happy to play out in it longer into autumn if their play house is draft-free. When they stop playing in it, it's perfect to use for storage until next spring, since it is well protected from the elements. Our plastic windows are also ideal for replacement acrylic shed windows and plastic greenhouse panels.
If you enjoy DIY you might like to build your own wooden playhouse. If that’s the case then buying sheets of plastic for your playhouse windows and doors is simple. Simply measure up the size of pieces of acrylic you need and send us your order. We carefully package every piece of acrylic before despatch so that it reaches you in perfect condition.
