Easy to use website with competetive prices. Cut-to-size items arrived in good condition, accurately cut and well packaged. Good communications throughout.
Perspex cut and measured to size. It was just unfortunate that my measurement sizes were out by about a milliimetre. But otherwise fast delivery service, fairly priced and good quality. Perfect for protecting artwork.
MDF cut to the correct size and deliverd on time, would use again and recommend.
Every piece of MDF or plywood I ordered was perfectly cut, exactly to the specified dimensions and with smooth, sharp edges - far better than I have ever obtained anywhere else. All of the items were also extremely well-packed to prevent damage in transit. I won't hesitate to use Cut-My-Plastic again.

Lino Cancun Textil FINSA Melamine MDF Details

Created as a decorative panel, this linen melamine with a sturdy MDF core works excellently as a finishing piece to tie together elements.

The linen melamine of the FINSA 12Twenty Lino Cancun wood sheet adds a tactile texture to the otherwise smooth MDF core allowing interesting possibilities. Reminiscent of canvas fabric the textured linen authentically adds the look of fabric with the properties of strong MDF.

Our FINSA 12Twenty Lino Cancun linen melamine sheets are constructed with a 0.5mm linen melamine veneer applied to both faces of the MDF core. The result is a reinforced, strong textured linen melamine MDF sheet.

Our linen melamine pairs exceptionally well with the FINSA Nogal Siena as it combines a solid warming colour of elegant design with veneer, ideal for those seeking a subtle merge of palettes and styles.

When choosing your textured melamine MDF sheet, we are able to add a linen melamine edge banding to the edges of your sheet. This is a fantastic option for those intending to use it as a decorative material.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is melamine?

Melamine is a type of laminated wood. The lamination is applied to the outer surfaces of melamine that can be used to match it to any style of kitchen, including some laminates that resemble wood grain. Melamine is made using particles of wood, paper and resin, which are all combined under extreme pressure.

Is melamine MDF waterproof?

Melamine is waterproof, shatter and scratch-resistant, protecting any laminated MDF boards in the same way. Be careful however of the edges as those will not have any melamine protection.

How do you clean melamine?

Melamine is easy to clean, using just a cloth and warm soapy water. You must also use a dry cloth to wipe away any moisture afterwards.

Can melamine be cut with a jigsaw?

Melamine is difficult to cleanly cut with most DIY tools, giving at best, one clean face, and one chipped side. Using a jigsaw will potentially damage both faces due to the sawing motion of the jigsaw. If you intend to cut melamine, we recommend using a circular saw.

What does MDF stand for?

MDF stands for medium-density fibreboard and is an engineered wood-based sheet made by bonding together wood fibres with a synthetic resin adhesive and pressure.

How strong is MDF?

MDF is not very strong as it is a compression of multiple fibres, however, it is very dense, and is very durable. As a rule, if you require a sheet to hold a large weight, order a larger thickness, or contact us and we can assist you directly.

What are the best screws for MDF?

To screw into MDF you will require specific screws to prevent splitting. We recommend using screws that are purposely made for MDF as generic screws may damage the sheeting.

Does MDF warp?

MDF is prone to warping and bending when moisture is concerned. That could be as a result of liquid affecting the sheet, or even from an uneven temperature causing bowing and warping.
