We have a range of plywood to choose from which we can cut to any size or shape using our CNC router, allowing for a greater level of precision and duplication. Whatever shape you have in mind, we can cut it – just send us your drawings, in either CAD or a sketch format, and we can create it for you. Along with our ability to cut any shape or curve to plywood, our CNC router can be used for rebating, pocketing and hole cutting on virtually any sheet material. There’s also the option of laser cutting, CNC engraving services and miter cutting to your plywood sheets as well.

If you’re considering printing onto plywood, have you considered birch plywood? It provides a smooth surface texture that’s ideally suited to a consistent printing finish. Using state-of-the-art UV printers, we can print full sheets of plywood in one go, providing a professional result at a much faster rate than painting can offer. We currently only list 8x4 sheets (2440x1220mm) but we’re able to purchase and cut sheets of up to 2000x3000mm, so get in touch with our team today to discuss your specific requirements. There’s the option of next day delivery if you’re working to a tight deadline. And if you are placing larger orders, we can deliver throughout most of the UK using our own transport service. Have a larger ongoing project taking place? Contact us to discuss bulk discounts and regular supply orders.

15mm marine plywood sheets are a hard-wearing material that is specially designed for use in external applications and areas that are prone to humidity or wet conditions. It is suitable for various applications, from storage boxes and cold frames to walls and indoor vehicle storage areas. The plywood is designed to resist fungal attacks and delamination and is great for applications that are built to last.

15mm Marine Plywood Grades

Wood comes in a variety of grades; we offer the grades listed below. See our plywood grading guide for more information on the types available.

Marine plywood is for use in environments where the wood is exposed to moisture for extended periods. The type of wood we offer has a high-quality BB/BB face grade and is well-suited to demanding environments such as gardens, bathrooms and parks as well as for roof supports and advertising panels that will be exposed to harsh weather conditions.

Advantages of 15mm Marine Plywood

One of the biggest benefits of using marine plywood is that it is easy to work with, providing a great strength to weight ratio and easy machinability. It takes to varnishes and stains well and has a smooth surface that is free from knots so it can be used in applications where the face of the wood will be visible. While most woods don’t cope with moisture for long periods, resulting in warping and eventual rotting, marine plywood has been specifically designed to retain its structural integrity in these conditions so it will stay strong for long periods of time. Because it’s such a versatile material that can be used for a wide range of applications, it delivers excellent value for money without having to compromise on the quality. Other popular sizes incude 12mm marine plywood and 18mm marine plywood.

Applications of 15mm Marine Plywood

15mm marine plywood provides a study foundation for a host of different uses, being thick enough to prevent warping or bending. It’s great for packing cases, concrete frameworks and sheds, as well as for roofing and walls in construction industries. Marine plywood can be used to great effect in both indoor and outdoor environments, providing that the edges of the wood are treated with an appropriate wood preserver to ensure a long-lasting finish. We also offer birch plywood, hardwood plywood and softwood plywood.

FAQs

What tolerance do you cut to?

We cut to a tolerance of +/-3mm.

What is your delivery timescale?

3-7 working days.

Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?

Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.

Can you cut any shape?

Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.

What's your standard radius corner?

20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.

How many holes do I need in my acrylic?

1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.

Can I cut acrylic?

Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.

Can I put acrylic behind a hob?

Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.

Do you fit the acrylic?

No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.

What's the difference between acrylic and Perspex?

Perspex is a brand name. It is the same as acrylic.

What's the difference between acrylic and polycarbonate?
