We offer a variety of different plywood types for various applications which we can cut to any size or shape on our CNC router for a greater level of precision and reliability. Whatever shape you have in mind, we can cut it – all you need to do is send us your drawings, in either CAD format or a sketch, and we can make it a reality. Along with our ability to cut any shape or curve, our CNC router can be used for rebating, pocketing and hole cutting on virtually any sheet material. We also have the capability to carry out laser cutting, CNC engraving services and miter cutting.
Using state-of-the-art UV printers, we can print full sheets of plywood in one go, providing a consistent finish at a much faster turnaround time than painting. We currently only list 8x4 sheets (2440x1220mm) but we’re able to purchase and cut sheets of up to 2000x3000mm, so get in touch with our team today to discuss your specific requirements. With optional next day delivery, your products can be with you quickly and for bigger orders, we can deliver throughout most of the UK using our own transport service. Marine plywood is a durable material made from face and core veneers that is processed to perform longer in humid or wet conditions. This wood resists fungal attacks and delamination and is typically made from tropical hardwoods. Marine plywood is best-suited to external applications where high levels of moisture are a concern. While the edges and sides of the wood should be treated with a suitable wood preserver, the material as a whole is much better equipped to cope with humid and wet conditions over long periods of time. We offer marine plywood sheets in a range of sizes and thicknesses, all of which can be cut to any size or shape you require. The most popular sizes are 12mm marine plywood and 18mm marine plywood, cut to size or shape.
Marine Plywood Grades
Wood comes in a variety of grades; we offer the grades listed below. See our plywood grading guide for more information on the types available.
- Marine plywood is for use in environments where the wood is exposed to moisture for extended periods. The type of wood we offer has a high-quality BB/BB face grade and is well-suited to demanding environments such as gardens, bathrooms and parks as well as for roof supports and advertising panels.
Advantages of Marine Plywood
Most types of wood don’t deal with water well, as the moisture gets into the core of the wood, causing it to expand and rot, which lowers the integrity of the structure. The main benefit of using marine plywood over other varieties of plywood is that it has a negligible core gap so that the likelihood of water getting trapped between the layers is minimised. This provides a strong and stable glue bond for extra strength. Marine plywood takes paint and stain finishes well and provides a smooth surface, making the application process even easier.
Plywood sheets are an easy material to work with as it can be machined with ease and can also be cut easily with a hand saw or an electric saw. Marine grade plywood is a versatile but incredibly touch material that resists decay and moisture well, so it’s the perfect choice for outdoor applications such as sheds, garages or walkways where exposure to moisture is common. Another benefit of using this plywood is that it is pliable, so it can be bent into shape without losing its structural integrity, which is why it is a common material for use in boats.
Applications of Marine Plywood Sheets
Marine plywood is typically used in joinery in areas where moisture is present, as well as for van or trailer linings. It can be used extensively in external applications as well as for temporary structures, cold storage containers, benches or concrete frameworks where a high-quality finish is required. This variety of plywood can also be used for walkways, packing cases, garages or sheds, and for boxing in pipes or wiring, as well as for the marine and boating industries. Another popular use for marine plywood is for signage – because it can cope with wet conditions well, it’s a prime material for outdoor signs that will be exposed to different weather conditions. It can also be printed or painted onto well, thanks to its smooth surface, providing myriad options for bespoke signs for any home or business. We also offer birch plywood, hardwood plywood and softwood plywood.

What tolerance do you cut to?
We cut to a tolerance of +/-3mm.
What is your delivery timescale?
3-7 working days.
Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?
Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.
Can you cut any shape?
Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.
What's your standard radius corner?
20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.
How many holes do I need in my acrylic?
1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.
Can I cut acrylic?
Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.
Can I put acrylic behind a hob?
Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.
Do you fit the acrylic?
No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.
What's the difference between acrylic and Perspex?
