We have a selection of plywood varieties to choose from which we can cut to any size or shape using our CNC router for accuracy and easy duplication. Whatever size or shape you have in mind, we can cut it – just send us your CAD drawing or a sketch of what you need, and we can create it. As well as cutting hardwood plywood sheets, our CNC router can also be used for rebating, pocketing and cutting holes for a quicker and easier installation process. We also provide the option of laser cutting and CNC engraving.
If you’re in need of a plywood for printing, you may want to consider birch plywood which delivers a smooth and consistent finish. Our state-of-the-art UV printers allow us to print full sheets of plywood in one go, providing a consistent and professional result at a much faster rate than painting. We currently only list 8 x 4 sheets (2440 x 1220mm) but we’re able to purchase and cut sheets of up to 2000 x 3000mm, so get in touch with our team today to discuss your requirements. There is the option of next day delivery if you’re working to a tight deadline and for larger orders, we have our own transport service which operates throughout most of the UK. Have a large project taking place? Get in touch with us to discuss bulk discounts and regular supply orders.
9mm hardwood plywood sheeting is an affordable, strong and versatile material that can be used for a range of projects, for both interior and exterior applications. Hardwood plywood has a smooth and knot-free surface that takes well to painting and staining. It is created from thin layers of hardwood timber which are laid at right angles and bonded together with a resin adhesive. It’s a popular material for general joinery, among other applications, and is resistant to warping and bending for a durable result.
9mm Hardwood Plywood Grades
Wood comes in a variety of grades - we offer the grades listed below for hardwood plywood sheets. Please see our plywood grading guide for more information on the types available.
Hardwood plywood is made from stronger timbers and is commonly used for applications which require longevity. Chinese hardwood plywood is a high BB/CC grade wood which means it has few knots and slight discolouration to the surface of the wood, with a CC grade reverse.
Advantages of 9mm Hardwood Plywood
There are many benefits to using hardwood plywood sheets cut to size – it’s commonly chosen for its durability, hard-wearing properties and versatility. Hardwood plywood is easy to cut and work with using standard power tools and handheld saws, so it’s ideal for DIY projects, and it takes well to screws and nails without splintering or cracking. This type of wood is resistant to warping, twisting and bending, and it has a low expansion rate so whatever application it is used for is built to last and stand the test of time.
Applications for 9mm Hardwood Plywood
9mm hardwood plywood can be used for a number of different projects, from general joinery and construction applications to walkways, sheds and garden projects. It’s commonly used for flooring and roofing as well. While hardwood plywood can be used for exterior projects, it’s important to treat the wood with an appropriate wood preserver so as to prevent the wood from rotting or delaminating for a long-lasting finish. We also offer marine plywood, birch plywood and softwood plywood.

Frequently Asked Questions
What tolerance do you cut to?
We cut to a tolerance of +/-3mm.
What is your delivery timescale?
3-7 working days.
Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?
Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.
Can you cut any shape?
Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.
What's your standard radius corner?
20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.
How many holes do I need in my acrylic?
1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.
Can I cut acrylic?
Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.
Can I put acrylic behind a hob?
Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.
Do you fit the acrylic?
No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.
What's the difference between acrylic and Perspex?
Perspex is a brand name. It is the same as acrylic.

Can I change my order after it's been placed?
There will be a £6 processing fee for any amendments needed after placing your order.
