We offer a range of types of plywood for various applications and environments, which can be cut to any size or shape using our CNC router for a high level of precision and repeatability. Whatever shape you have in mind, we can cut it – just send us your CAD drawing or a sketch of what you require and we can create it. As well as cutting hardwood plywood sheets to any shape or curve, our CNC router can be used for rebating, pocketing and hole cutting. We also provide laser cutting, CNC engraving services and miter cutting services for a wider range of decorative options.
Our state-of-the-art UV printers allow us to print full sheets of plywood in one go, providing a consistent and professional finish at a much faster rate than painting - birch plywood is particularly well-suited to this as it has a smooth and clear surface texture. We currently only list 8x4 sheets (2440x1220mm) but we’re able to purchase and cut sheets of up to 2000x3000mm, so get in touch with our team today to discuss your requirements. And with optional next day delivery, your products can be with you quickly too. For larger orders, we have our own transport service which operates throughout most of the UK. If you have a bigger project taking place, contact us to discuss bulk discounts and regular supply orders.
A non-structural plywood, our 12mm hardwood ply is an economical and versatile material that can be used to great effect in a range of applications. It’s ideal for painting and staining, owing to the smooth surface it provides, and it delivers a great weight to strength ratio. Made from thin layers of timber laid at right angles and bonded with resin adhesive, hardwood plywood is a strong and incredibly hard-wearing material that is suitable for interior and exterior applications. We offer a custom cutting service to ensure that the wood you receive is cut to the exact size and shape you require for added convenience.
12mm Hardwood Plywood Grades
Wood comes in a variety of grades - for our hardwood plywood sheets, we offer the grades listed below. Please see our plywood grading guide for more information on the types available.
Hardwood plywood is made from stronger timbers and is commonly used for applications which require longevity. Chinese hardwood plywood is a high BB/CC grade wood which means it has few knots and slight discolouration to the surface of the wood, with a CC grade reverse.
Advantages of 12mm Hardwood Plywood
Hardwood plywood sheets are one of the most commonly used materials, providing a great quality finish and a knot-free surface that’s well-suited to painting and staining. The wood is designed to resist bending and warping to ensure that whatever application it is used for will be long-lasting. 12mm hardwood plywood delivers a great quality wood for a cost-effective price – it’s resistant to shrinking, cracking and splitting, and is less likely to split when used with nails or screws as well.
It has a low expansion rate so it’s a stable wood in any dimension, plus the way in which it is produced means it’s difficult to bend so it’s great for applications where strength is of paramount importance. Another benefit of using 12mm hardwood plywood is that it is an easy wood to work with – it can be cut to size or shape easily with a handsaw or an electric saw and can be used in milling processes as well. This makes it ideal for home projects and DIY applications.
Applications of 12mm Hardwood Plywood
12mm hardwood ply can be used for a host of different projects and applications. It is typically used for general joinery, such as shelving, boxing in, fascias and soffits, and walkways. As a slightly thicker variety of hardwood plywood sheeting, it’s ideal for the construction of sheds and rail or road containers, as well as packing containers, bins, vehicle frameworks, cold storage containers and benches.
It’s a common material for construction works and decorating purposes, such as for bath panelling and roofing in home. 12mm hardwood ply can also be used to great effect for signage as it’s thick enough to withstand warping and bending, while also providing a smooth surface for painting. Although hardwood plywood can be used both internally and externally, the faces and edges of the wood should be treated with an appropriate preserver before being used outdoors to protect the wood and maintain its appearance.

We cut to a tolerance of +/-3mm.
What is your delivery timescale?
3-7 working days.
Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?
Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.
Can you cut any shape?
Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.
What's your standard radius corner?
20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.
How many holes do I need in my acrylic?
1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.
Can I cut acrylic?
Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.
Can I put acrylic behind a hob?
Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.
Do you fit the acrylic?
No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.
