We offer a range of MDF types to choose from which can be cut to any size or shape using our CNC router, delivering a high level of accuracy and duplication. Whatever shape you require, we can cut it – just send us your drawings in either CAD format or a sketch and we will create it for you. Our CNC router can also be used for rebating, pocketing and hole cutting, not only on MDF sheets but also virtually any other sheet material for additional customisation. We offer the option to add laser cutting, CNC engraving and mitred edges to your MDF sheeting too.

Using the latest in UV printing technology, we can print full sheets of MDF in one go, providing a professional finish at a much faster rate than painting. We currently only list 8x4 sheets (2440x1220mm) but we’re able to purchase and cut sheets of up to 2000x3000mm, so get in touch with our team today to discuss your requirements. With optional next day delivery, your products can be with you quickly and we also have our own transport service which operates throughout most of the UK for larger orders. If you have a bigger ongoing project taking place, you can contact us to discuss bulk discounts and regular supply orders.

Melamine-faced MDF provides a wealth of finishes, making it a highly versatile product that is commonly used in kitchens, bathrooms and offices. The melamine surface can be textured or patterned to mimic the pattern of real wood or it can be colour-matched for a bold and contemporary look. From office furniture to kitchen worktops and shop counters, there are many uses for melamine-faced MDF, making it a great material to work with for both DIY projects and commercial environments.

We now also offer 0.8mm paintable PVC edging for our Melamine Sheets! A practical alternative to real wood, expertly finishing the edge of our Melamine and other boards, paintable edging is quick and clean, giving a perfect & professional looking edge. It is suitable for painting and spray painting and all types of paints can be used, water and solvent based.

MDF Grades

There are several different varieties of MDF, depending on the application you’re using it for. Wood comes in a variety of grades we offer the grades listed below. See our wood grading guide for more information on the types available.

  • Moisture-resistant grade MDF can be used in areas of homes or businesses where moisture or humidity is an issue, such as bathrooms, kitchens or storage areas.
  • Premier-grade MDF sheeting is a high-quality material that makes use of superior wood refining technology and high-grade resins for greater consistency both in terms of thickness and quality. This form of MDF is best-suited to furniture, toys or cabinetry, delivering a reliable and uniform result.
  • Fire-retardant-grade MDF is commonly used in schools, hospitals, offices or cinemas and can provide up to 60 minutes of fire protection when used in applications such as doors, kick plates or partitions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What tolerance do you cut to?

We cut to a tolerance of +/-3mm.

What is your delivery timescale?

3-7 working days.

Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?

Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.

Can you cut any shape?

Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.

What's your standard radius corner?

20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.

How many holes do I need in my acrylic?

1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.

Can I cut acrylic?

Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.

Can I put acrylic behind a hob?

Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.

Do you fit the acrylic?

No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.

What's the difference between acrylic and Perspex?

Perspex is a brand name. It is the same as acrylic.

What's the difference between acrylic and polycarbonate?

Take a look at our handy guide here.

Can I change my order after it's been placed?

There will be a £6 processing fee for any amendments needed after placing your order.
