Our Excellent Reviews
We offer quality service and have reviews from many satisfied customers.
Splashbacks are a fantastic option for adding a decorative element while also preventing spills and water from damaging the walls in your kitchen or bathroom. Cost-effective and easy to install, splashbacks are a great way to modernise your home and continue to look great for years afterwards. In addition to updating your décor, they’re also easy to maintain and can be kept clean with minimal effort.
At Cut My Plastic, we offer high-quality splashbacks at competitive prices in a range of printed or solid colour options. We provide quick delivery, so you can complete your renovation projects as quickly as possible. And if you’re in need of a specific shape for your splashback, we offer templates to help you get the perfect fit.
Solid or Printed Splashbacks?
We provide a wide range of solid colours to choose from as well as printed splashback options which are UV-printed onto the back of clear acrylic so that the image shows through. Depending on the style you’re aiming to achieve, there are plenty of versatile options to suit your décor. When you’re installing your splashback, ensure you don’t peel the white laminated back off as this protects the colour and maintains the print, as well as preventing anything from showing through beneath the acrylic. Once you’ve installed the splashback, you can remove the protective film from the front to reveal the glossy surface.
How to Drill or Cut Your Splashback
Splashbacks can be drilled and cut with ease but it’s important to be careful in how you approach drilling so as not to damage the material. When drilling or cutting your splashback, start from the back of the acrylic and drill slowly through to the front. Ensure that the acrylic is held down firmly so that it doesn’t move while you’re drilling or cutting it and begin by drilling through a scrap piece of wood to avoid the blowout of the acrylic. Water is recommended as well to cool the acrylic down and avoid the acrylic swarf from melting while you’re drilling.
Will I See What’s Behind My Splashback?
The visibility of the surface behind your splashback depends on the colour of acrylic you choose. If you opt for a translucent or a lighter colour, the surface beneath may show through slightly, so it’s worth making sure the wall is white to minimise this. If you’re placing your splashback on top of existing tiles, we recommend painting them white so that no pattern or colours show through.
Is the Colour Exactly What I’ll Receive?
While we aim to provide as clear an example as possible for the colour you’ll receive, the screen on which you view the splashback may distort it slightly, so we recommend ordering a sample for a true representation of what you’ll get. It’s also worth noting that the colour names are for identification purposes and may not be an exact match to the real-world item – for example, our Clementine Orange splashback is somewhat paler than an actual clementine – so a sample can help alleviate any confusion. Cut My Plastic can’t be held responsible if you decide not to order a sample and the colour you receive isn’t as expected.

We cut to a tolerance of +/-2mm.
What is your delivery timescale?
3-7 working days.
Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?
Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.
Can you cut any shape?
Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.
What's your standard radius corner?
20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.
How many holes do I need in my acrylic?
1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.
Can I cut acrylic?
Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.
Can I put acrylic behind a hob?
Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.
Do you fit the acrylic?
No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.
