Details

Acrylic mirrors sheets are a far cheaper alternative that offers the same clear reflection but are more lightweight and flexible and can be easily fitted. They are also child safe, as their shatter-resistant properties will not harm children, unlike a traditional mirror which can break and cut.

Glass is commonly used in homes and businesses for applications such as windows or mirrors, but acrylic mirrors are becoming an increasingly popular option for a number of reasons. With a higher refraction index than glass, it allows more light to pass through to brighten up spaces.

Further to this, acrylic mirrors are far stronger than glass, so the risk of it damaging or breaking is lowered, as well as being shatterproof if it does get broken. Acrylic mirrors are also lighter than glass so become easy to fit and install yourself, and easy to handle. When correctly fitted to the wall, there is no distortion in the image and you will get the same clear reflective surface that you would with glass.

Acrylic mirrors are versatile and weather-resistant, ideal for all purposes, including home gyms or fitness studios. Due to their strong durability, they also make a great addition outside of the home, such as equestrian stables or acrylic garden mirrors. It can also be used in bathrooms and on door backings allowing spaces to reflect more light into the room.

Keeping your acrylic mirror clean and hygienic is also easier to maintain than a glass mirror, as all that is required is warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth.

Using an adhesive on the acrylic mirror sheet is the most common choice for both ease and simplicity, providing a professional, smooth finish and most importantly, a secure fit.
