Details
Frosted acrylic sheets come with a smooth, aesthetic matt finish, cut to your exact size requirements in a range of colours and thicknesses. The visual appearance of the Frosted Perspex® is produced from a textured, sandblasted finish.
This contemporary, frosted Perspex® matt acrylic, is commonly used to modernise a room either as a door pane, or a privacy divider. The matt-finish gives the popular effect of sandblasted or acid-etched glass, which in addition to being a smart design style, allows the Frosted Perspex® to be more frequently used in hygienic environments and places where privacy is important.
Sometimes called satin glass acrylic, matt acrylic, satin acrylic or satin glass acrylic, it is neither shiny nor glossy. Frosted acrylic sheets come with a good-looking matt finish, cut to your exact size requirements in a range of colours and thicknesses. Because of its exceptional chemical resistance, it is a dream to keep clean and easily maintained in good condition.
Frosted Perspex®, is a high-quality acrylic as part of our acrylic range boasting all of the best acrylic properties. As a result, our Frosted Acrylic is ideal for a huge range of exciting projects. If you want to make a dramatic impact, using frosted acrylic sheeting will elevate your project to a modern, sleek design.
It is worth considering however that while the frosted acrylic limits transparency, any object put behind the acrylic would cast a shadow as a result.
Key Features
Frosted
Our Frosted Perspex® sheets have a frosted finish that is slightly textured. It appears slightly opaque, reducing light transmission.
Weather Resistant
With both UV and weather resistance, frosted acrylic sheets are part of our acrylic sheeting range, and as such can withstand the most severe weather conditions showing no signs of deterioration from the elements.
Lightweight
Frosted acrylic weigh half as much as an equivalent glass pane, making installation, transportation, and handling an easier, and more attractive option.
Malleable
Frosted Perspex® is easy to fabricate and can be cut, drilled and shaped to any requirements, so it’s a flexible material to work with. The cut frosted acrylic surfaces can be polished and sanded easily for a more professional finish to your sheeting.
Maintainable
Frosted acrylic sheets are equally easy to clean, with just warm soapy water and a microfibre cloth needed to ensure a hygienic finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
What tolerance do you cut to?
We cut to a tolerance of +/-1mm.
What is your delivery timescale?
3-7 working days.
Is mirrored acrylic like normal mirror?
Mirrored acrylic is a flexible material, and needs to be attached to a perfectly flat surface. We recommend attaching it to MDF or something similar, making sure the adhesive is spread in a thin even layer across the acrylic. we also recommend using the 5mm thick acrylic as it is more rigid.
Can you cut any shape?
Yes, in acrylic. We will shortly be able to also cut any shape in polycarbonate as well.
What's your standard radius corner?
20mm, but we can cut to your requirements.
How many holes do I need in my acrylic?
1 per corner should be sufficient for smaller pieces. You might want to consider an extra hole in the middle if your sheet is larger.
Can I cut acrylic?
Yes, you can. Just take it slow and easy.
Can I put acrylic behind a hob?
Not if it is gas or electric. You need a gap of 5cm between an induction hob and the acrylic.
Do you fit the acrylic?
No, we don't. We do provide some templates which should help you to take your measurements. The acrylic is easy to install by any competent DIYer.
What's the difference between acrylic and Perspex?
